We began this project in 2016 when we bought the land, we completed building our cabin in 2020. We wish to thank all of our friends who have been supporting this project and the many who have come to visit and participate with us as well.

I AM ON A MISSION BECAUSE I HAVE A VISION

I always had a dream to build a log cabin in the country. The place I found is so nice, so close to the city, so perfect that I got inspired to share this with everyone! I could build my own small cabin here for my personal enjoyment, BUT I realized this is my opportunity to create something GREATER that everyone will enjoy. I established the PSC as a non-profit educational corporation that owns this place and will keep it as a public trust. The Board and our members are all accomplished movers and shakers of our world that embraced my vision and want to help create this little utopia.

So far I lost count of the miracles. The PSC Inc bought this place, raised over $195,000, and we obtained a construction loan for $400K; we have now succeeded to complete the house! Now we have begun our major CAPITAL FUND DRIVE to raise the first $1 Million by 2024. We must start by raising funds to operate our center. This Cabin has a huge Great room for events with 4 bed rooms and 4 baths for a total of 3000 sq ft of space all with a view of the lake only 1 hour north of Manhattan.

I consider this like a Retreat – come relax, recharge and return with more positive energy. A few hours here can help you regain the inner balance to keep you healthy and happy.

Capital Investments – these grants are to help develop the Center to build, expand and maintain operations of the center’s activities.

The mission of this group is to utilize the scientific principles of positive psychology to study and determine the best ways to help people reach and enjoy greater well-being physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. This is accomplished by focusing on the strengths, virtues, talents and skills people have and can develop to achieve more in life. The goal is for us to help promote greater peace, prosperity and progress individually, in the community and as a whole.

FINANCING

We have finally got our Certificate of Occupancy June 2020 and the house is ready for enjoyment. The Walden Savings Bank gave us a mortgage for the property. Dr. Ryder has been the guarantor of all the financing and is responsible for the complete development of this project and general operations. We must raise approximately $60,000 to cover the expenses and successfully achieve our yearly goals. At this time we have invested over $670K into this project and we really need more help. We are grateful for any help we can get. We are also submitting proposals for funding from a variety of Private and Public Foundations that may help support our projects. For example we received a generous grant of $15K from the Grove Foundation of Armonk NY. To date we have raised approximately $195,000. The balance has been donated by Dr. Ryder.

Everyone will be invited to participate in all our official activities (depending on permits). Donations to the Center are tax deductible according to the law. Please consult your accountant for details. Any contribution over $250 will receive a formal receipt for IRS filing as required by the regulations. The gifts we offer have no monetary value but are just our way to thank you for any contribution you make large or small.

We do acknowledge every donation in cash or in kind that you make to help promote our mission. Every contributor gets access to our resources and we will send you an email periodically to inform you of events that you can participate in if you like. We thank you for your support. Our goal is to raise One Million Dollars in the next five years to facilitate the projects that we have begun working on. The funds contributed can be dedicated to one of three general categories or towards our overall general mission.

I do plan to keep my office in the city open seeing clients as always however, I also intend to spend 2, 3 or 4 days a week up at the Center one hour north of Manhattan. Everyone will want to come visit this place. There are two Train stations nearby, and we are only 3 miles from the Taconic Parkway. The nearest town is Carmel. There are many interesting things to do and visit in the Hudson Valley. So, plan a visit soon. Every contribution makes this idea more real. Please join us and make this miracle happen. This PSC will be similar to the Omega center offering a variety of programs to the public.
